Piperlime is bringing in the Spring!

So, if you’ve been shopping around, whether at brick and mortar stores or online, you’ve probably noticed what the up and coming trends are for the warm seasons this year.  Bright colors; primary or pastel, color-blocking, shoes with perforated patterns, tapered legs (holding over from the past few seasons), pencil skirts, a-line skirts, long, languorous days spent simultaneously reading, sun bathing, and sipping fruit smoothies (spiked if you prefer).  Ok, maybe that last one isn’t a trend, but it should be. Let’s make it one.

Piperlime is a good place to cash in on all the latest in vogue, minus the sun bathing, but they’ll certainly suit you up for it! Piperlime is full of designer goods, and can be pricey, but sales do happen.  Here are a few items leaning towards affordable.

CC Sunset Tribal Dress
– $74.00 / Kahari by Bandolino – $69.00

Gimme some orange

Orange, and most variances, is really popular this season.  Whether it’s a bright pop of true orange, or something more in the sherbet realm, orange is everywhere.  Add in some lavender, and it becomes feminine very quickly.  The Sunset Tribal Dress by Collective Concepts  is cut to flatter most.  Between the light fabric, flutter sleeves, elastic waist, and pleating at the neck you’ll be reaching for this one time and time again .  The Kahari Sandals by Bandolino are a fun and easy way to add some orange to your wardrobe, especially if you just don’t want to spend your pennies on a piece of orange clothing.  Padded insole, and also comes in gold or black.

Tinley Road Knit Top
– $29.00 / Blank Denim Pencil Skirt – $78.00

Cute and Casual

Throw in some cute sandals or flats and you have the picture perfect outfit for strolling water-side with an ice cream cone in hand.  The knit tee is made with mostly Tencel, so unlike it’s synthetic counterparts, it should breath well during the warm months.  The wide neckline is feminine and flattering.  Pencil skirts are pretty popular this year, and this casual cotton option can be dressed up if wanted.

Velvet Stripe Skirt – $85.00 / Natalie Clutch – $54.00

That clutch will add the color

Picture Carrie Bradshaw sprinting through the streets of New York in spiked heels and the skirt above.  And 30 seconds later she’s at a bar with Samantha downing a Cosmo.  The beauty about this skirt by Velvet by Graham and Spencer (you read that right) is the fold over waistband.  Those are extremely comfortable and flattering.  And since the skirt is lacking in color you’ll need that bright yellow clutch by Melie Bianco to add some.  Just pair with a white tank top, some sassy shoes, and you’re on your way.

7 For All Mankind Kimmie Jeans
– $169.00 / Splendid Oatmeal Stripe Top – $68.00

Getting a little pricier

So the 7 For All Mankind jeans are getting up there in price, but they’re a good looking pair of jeans.  They have just a tiny bit of stretch to them and are made in the USA.  The Oatmeal Stripe Top would work well with several different bottoms.  You could try it with some khaki shorts or a cute white skirt (maybe like the one above).  The contrasting stripes on the sleeve cuffs and neckline break the pattern up just enough.  Want more color?  Wrap a brightly colored belt around your waist.  Just a side note, there is also a very cute dress made from the same material by the same company.

Hive & Honey Belt
– $28.00 / 7 Hills Covered Buckle – $32.99 / 7 Hills Wide Elastic – $24.99

Even if you don't need one, it adds color

The picture kind of looks like a fashion Christmas tree.  But I digress, belts are one of those items that has become less utilitarian (our pants have become tight enough to hold themselves up) and more aesthetic.  Put on a brightly colored belt and you’ve all of a sudden kicked your outfit up a notch.  BAM!

Piperlime offers free shipping on purchases and returns with no minimum.  Bam.
