The Look for Less from JCP

While full clutch has been great about bringing you product/beauty reviews, one of our goals for this coming year is getting out into stores and trying on clothing to bring you even more reviews. I’m definitely a bargain hunter, so I wanted to see what outfits I could scramble together from JCPenney. Here’s what I found.

PinkPolka

This bright coral a.n.a. Pullover Top – $16 caught my attention right away. It’s available in many more colors: purple, grey, bright yellow, and spearmint green, and has a loose weave, so some type of undershirt is necessary. Here I’ve paired witht the jcp Ribbed Tank Top – $6, which is your basic layering tank. And finally, a supercute find, the jcp Sophie Perfect Fit Skinny Jeans – $27. These polka dot jeans are navy blue and just darling. I love how they look against the brightness of the coral…but unfortunately the fit is not ideal for my body. The waist was too big, but I needed that size to fit my hips. Also, these are pretty low-rise, and that never works out well for me–apparently I have a ridiculously long crotch-to-belly button measurement. Far too short and gaping, especially in the back. But, someone who is shorter might find these to be a great fit. Total price for these three items? $49!

BirdJeansBag

Another sweet ensemble, the crowning jewel of which is this darling jcp Darkest Sky Birds Blouse – $28. Unfortunately it’s not on the website, but you may be able to find it in-store like I did. (Here’s another print I thought was cute.) This top features little red, white, and green birds on a navy blue background. It’s also a silk blend, so it’s light and airy and soft. I found the exact shade of green in the top, in this Nicole by Nicole Miller Mini Flap Crossbody – $20, so this is a great way to bring out the green in the top, and tie the whole thing together. I paired the top and bag with Arizona Skinny Leg Jeans – $15 (similar), but if you like the trend of combining patterns, you could certainly wear the polka dot denim from the first post, with the bird shirt. This ensemble set me back a mere $63.
