Every Day is Saturday at Kate Spade
Last weekend I took a quick girls trip to Portland, Oregon. While there we all went into the Kate Spade New York shop in Pioneer Place. Oh boy! So fun to see the Kate Spade stuff I’ve been eyeing up on line. One such thing I was looking for was a passport cover, but I couldn’t find one in store. The very cheerful salesman in a bow-tie informed me they were sold out, but I should check out Kate Spade Saturday online. It just launched this month, and prices are definitely friendlier than KateSpade.com, and the looks lean more casual. Think Banana Republic and J.Crew. And when you create a free account at Saturday.com, you can accumulate points for free stuff. You’ll also see the weather forecast for the next Saturday in your area, with a product suggestion, a very cute touch!
The only real disappointment on the site for me right now is the shoe section. There’s not much going on yet. But there are lots of different departments to shop, and shipping and returns are always free. Here are a few of my favorites I found poking around the site.
The Skinny Jean in Yellow – $110 & Abstract – $120
The price on these pants are still a bit out of reach for many of us ladies, but compared to prices at Kate Spade these are a steal! Mostly cotton with a little bit of polyester and spandex for stretch. Machine washable. Either are perfect for paring with a black and white top this spring.
Top Handle Small Satchel – $180
The vibrant blue of this leather satchel will carry this bag right on through spring and into summer. It’s about the size of a piece of paper, is 3 inches deep, and has two interior divided compartments. A good purse to have on hand to brighten up any blah days.
Slip Neck Tee – $30
$30? I can afford that! The raised boatneck collar really does make this tee. You know what else I love about it? It’s not so long I could wear it as a dress. With my petite top half, this shirt will actually hit at my hips, not my hamstrings. Hooray Kate Spade!
Squared Away Pocket Mirror – $25 & Cosmetic Case – $45
Travel in style on your next short getaway with the Zig-Zag cosmetic case. Rolls up into a 5.5″ square (click on the link above for a better visual). And even on cloudy days you can pull a bright pop of sunshine out of your purse when you utilize the squared away pocket mirror.
Long Shirttail Dress – $110
Oh so very tempting. This 100% cotton dress looks like it would be incredibly cool and comfortable during warmer months. The dress hits below the knees but isn’t a full maxi length. Also comes in grey.
I’m assuming the bracelet takes it’s name from the resin tubes forming it, which look exactly like the tubes used to create plastic jump ropes. What a great way to repurpose those! And perfect for this springtime’s black and white trend explosion. The circle studs are a simple way to incorporate those black and white stripes, but will outlast many other black & white statement pieces just due to their simplicity.
