Smashbox Sale

Smashbox is offering up to 60% off on select products through April 14. The majority are palettes and kits with multiple products, which are great ways for consumers who are not familiar with the brand to check out what they have to offer. I myself have never used Smashbox products, but I’m intrigued by their beautiful palettes. Plus, on many product pages there’s a video of how to use the product. So if you’re not sure how best to blend certain eye shadow colors, or you’ve never used liquid liner before, they provide the tutorial right there. I love seeing customer-focused perks like that from beauty companies. Let’s take a look at some of their sale deals…

Be Discovered Eye Shadow Palette – $35.20 ($44)

BeDiscovered

This palette features 8 pastel shadows for spring. It boasts creamy shades, instead of chalky, the way pastel makeup can sometimes appear. Reviewers are very positive, stating that the colors blend well, and that they’re not overly shimmery and glittery. Love the video tutorial for this one, too.

Shades of Fame Eye Shadow Palette – $29 ($48)

ShadesOfFame

This palette is a hell of a deal. It features 9 eye shadows that are bright and richly pigmented, plus two cream eye liners (which you apply with a thin brush–not included), an eye shadow brush, and an eyelid primer to ensure that the shadow stays put. Reviewers are simply glowing about this set, and the average rating is 5 out of 5 stars.

Charcoal Smoky Eyes Kit – $51 ($85)

CharcoalSmokyEyes

I love a smoky eye–it’s so beautiful and flattering, on almost everyone. This kit comes with three eye shadows–opal, granite, blackout, a foundation primer, a mascara, and liquid eye liner. Unfortunately, there’s no tutorial video for this kit! A smoky eye can be tricky, so I do wish they’d included more information to help beauty buffs. But, you can always check out makeup blogs to get good tutorials. One of my favorites is Makeup Geek. She has a TON of tutorials, as well as photos of different eye makeup looks in case you need inspiration. Here she does a smoky eye tutorial.

Glambox Studio Trends Kit – $35 ($69)

Glambox

For our last pick, another great value. Four eye shadows in beautiful, rich hues, a copper-colored shadow liner (which can be used as an eye liner, or can be applied and then smudged as a shadow), two lip glosses, a mascara, and five blushes. I’m a little surprised they paired a copper eye liner with shadows that are grey, black, taupe, and plum–not exactly a great match. But this is still an amazing deal. I love that there are a lot of blushes, but in small amounts–if one of them doesn’t tickle your fancy, it doesn’t feel so wasteful, letting it languish untouched in the palette.

Happy shopping Smashboxers! Deals last through April 14, plus FREE shipping on all U.S. orders. Whee!
