Sandals under $40 from DSW
I need a new pair of sandals like I need an extra five pounds on my butt. BUT (since we’re talking about butts) this time of year I can’t help myself. I don’t get nearly as excited about cold weather footwear. Who doesn’t love a great looking sandal? Whether it be pump, wedge, flat, casual, dressy… there are just so many style and color options to choose from, it makes my brain happy. And then sad that I can’t buy them all. And then happy again, because they’re fun to look at. DSW has a $39.95 and under section in their sandal shop online. This makes is easier to stick to a budget, as long as you can resist the temptation to buy more than one pair of shoes. To follow–a few picks that all fall under $40.
Kelly & Katie Clare Sandal – $39.95
We have just been loving the laser cutout trend this spring! It adds so much visual interest while keeping lines clean. These sandals are just perfect for a fun night out. I wouldn’t recommend them for an outdoor wedding if there’s grass involved (wedges work much better on grass), but if there are hard surfaces to walk on, how fun would these be? Guaranteed to get compliments. Also available in white and black.
Franco Sarto Sedona Wedge Sandal – $39.95
Now if you’re in the market for a dressier wedge, say for an outdoor wedding, perhaps this neutral kick will fit the bill. Suede upper and a 3″ wedge heel. Only 3 reviews on the DSW site, but two give these shoes 5 out of 5 stars. One evens mentioned dancing the night away at a wedding with no discomfort. Also available in black.
Unlisted Early Printed Wedge Sandal – $39.95
Looking for a wedge that will add color to an outfit every time you wear them? These gals have a lot going on, but they’re very fun, and have a modern edge with the cut of the upper. These are pretty darn cute, and would look perfect with rolled up jeans and a t-shirt. Here’s another funky wedge from Unlisted, sans all the color, but keeping the style.
Very Volatile Vagabond Sandal – $39.95
One of our favorites from the flat sandal category. This sandal has a city chic edge to it, and it looks like the sole has some pretty comfy padding as well. It’s also available in tan with a warm honey colored croc-embossed patent upper. Perfect for days when you know you’ll be on your feet a lot, but want to skip the sneakers.
A pretty basic wedge design, until you take the time to notice the chevron weave embossing on the upper, that carries on down to the heel. Cork is also seeing an uptick in popularity this spring. And you know what the Aerosole name usually means – comfort. Available in yellow (shown) or orange.
Blowfish Cha Cha Print Wedge Sandal – $39.95
Admittedly, I’m not usually one for really brightly colored shoes, but there’s something about these sandals that I just love! The style is great, very tropical. It has a zipper up the back, which is a trend I fully stand behind. And the colors are really vibrant without being retina searing. If you are in full disagreement, here is a nice soothing neutral option.
Aerosoles Push By Wedge Sandal – $39.95
The perfect color scheme for a Type 4. Very modern and striking. Not a shoe you can wear with everything, unless your wardrobe consists of a lot of black. A chic color scheme none the less, and perfect for adding something dramatic to a little black dress.
Dollhouse Dazzle Wedge Sandal – $39.95
How the hell does one walk in these?
Sandal season is just about here ladies. Get those toes ready, and happy shopping!
