Athleta Sale Dresses and Skirts

During the sale season, you can find hidden gems in unexpected places. One of those places is Athleta. Yes, they specialize in swimwear and athletic duds, but they also have a great selection of clothing that you can wear for everyday…and many of those items are on sale right now. Here are five quick picks.

Crossroads Burnout Skirt – $49.99 ($64)

Burnout

This layered skirt with adjustable vertical cinch band is a great way to look cute but stay comfortable. The fabric is lightweight and breathable and it comes in three pretty colors. Pair with a tank and simple sandals for a classic summer look.

Cordoba Skirt – $19.99 or $29.99 ($59)

Cordoba

This corduroy skirt might looks like a fall piece, but it’s actually made of “summerweight” material, plus spandex for extra comfort and stretch. I suspect come fall, you could also wear this with tights, boots, and a sweater. Love the tiny front pockets and the pleated back.

Stripe Splendor Maxi Skirt – $49.99 ($98)

StripeSplendor

The customer reviews for this skirt are VERY high. People rave about the comfort, flattering fit, and swingy movement of the skirt. They also recommend sizing down.

Katniss Dress – $49.99 ($79)

Katniss

Fans of the YA series The Hunger Games will recognize this dress’s namesake. This dress features contrast stitching along the neckline and ruching at the mid-section. A few reviewers note some extra material under the arm, but returns are free so it might be worth the risk.

Wellington Dress – $39.99 ($98)

Wellington

I wasn’t sold on this dress when I saw the image at left, but after seeing the ladies in the middle and at right, it looks like a really flattering dress. I myself have a high natural waist and this dress cinches high so for me and others with a similar silhouette, this would be a great option. Perfect for cooler summer nights, and easily able to transition to fall with leggings and boots.

No word on when this sale ends–probably when supplies dwindle. Yay for mid-summer sales!
