Sephora End of Summer Sale

Sephora is having an end of summer sale and there are a lot of great items. Many of them are available only online so double check if you’re planning to go visit Sephora in person. Here are some favorites:

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil – $6 ($19)

A cult classic among makeup enthusiasts. Everyone loves how easily this pencil applies, how smoothly it blends, and its staying power. Plus, it comes in a bunch of super fun colors.

Benefit Matthew Williamson – The Rich Is Back! – $24 ($34)

This box set is not for those who shy away from a bold look. This is a “disco-themed” palette with bright, shimmery colors–four eye shadows, one blush, one lip product, and the famous Benefit They’re Real! mascara. Considering that the mascara itself (in mini size) retails for $10, and this is only $14 more for six more products…it’s a pretty good deal.

Philosophy The Cookbook Set – $24 ($30)

If you’re not familiar with Philosophy bath products, you’re in for a treat. This company makes the most delicious and unique smelling bath and shower gels, often in food scents. This box set gives you four different bottles, all in delicious holiday scents. If you shop early for Christmas, you could pick this up, and use each little bottle as a stocking stuffer.

Philosophy Miracle Worker Dark Spot Correcting System – $48 ($80)

This anti-aging kit addresses “dark spots, overall brightening, and wrinkles.” Reviews are mostly glowing, with an average of 4 out of 5 stars. A really good bargain for a kit that promises such a big result.

Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint – $10 ($25)

This product looks really interesting–it’s a tinted gel, made with Maracuja oil, which is a buzzed-about oil like Argan oil, that claims to heal and condition skin. Apply to the cheekbones for a natural looking glow.

Buxom Passport Collection The Jetsetter Edition For Eyes, Lips & Cheeks – $30 ($36)

How cute is this little compact from Buxom? Hailed as an all-in-one for travel, it comes with four eye shadows, one blush, a mascara, and a lip gloss. Buxom’s name comes from their focus on big–big eyelashes, big lips. Many of their lip products have ingredients that make your lips plump up. Technically, I think these ingredients work by inflaming the lips to make them puffy, but it’s not at harsh as it sounds. I’ve tried it before and it just feels like tingling.

Sephora Sugar Body Scrub – $9 ($18)

Sadly, summer is coming to an end. This is a good time to stock up on items needed for the transition to fall and winter–i.e., dry skin on the body, calluses from summer feet. Body scrubs always tend to be outrageously expensive so this is a pretty good price.

Sephora Artist Color Box Makeup Palette – $20 ($25)

The big boy. This is a collection of 24! eyeshadows, 6 lip glosses, 5 eye pencils, and a double sided brush for lip and eye application. It’s Sephora brand which means it’s not the highest quality, so if you’re looking for makeup for your wedding day, or makeup that will last through a 12 hour day, this probably isn’t your best bet. But, if you love playing with makeup and you want a large assortment to use in conjunction with other products, or to wear for evenings out, this would be a really fun (and cheap!) purchase.

Happy makeup-ing!
