LORAC PRO Palette Eye Makeup Look Part 1

Last week I wrote about the LORAC PRO Palette, which features 16 fabulous shades of eye shadow (and comes with an eyelid primer, too).  Today I have the first of the eye makeup looks I created with this palette, in case you picked you up the same product, or you want to try with similar colors you already have at home.

For this look I used from top to bottom: cream, garnet, and champagne. Cream is a matte cream; garnet is a rusty-pink shimmer (though it looks brown in the photo, it’s not); champagne is a light pink shimmer. There are countless ways to combine the colors in this palette. For this look, I wanted some fall color, but nothing too dramatic, for a dinner out with friends.

I first applied champagne all over the lid of my eye. Don’t press hard on these shadows. They’re really fragile in the palette and will break if you apply a lot of pressure. Then in the crease, slightly below it, and up onto the brow bone, I applied garnet. Then under my eyebrow, I applied a line of cream. In the photo about I used a heavier amount of shadow than I normally would so that you can see the colors. To lighten in it up after these pictures were taken, I took a clean shadow brush and wiped it across the area in garnet so that it was more blended and there was less shadow on my face.

Finally, I finished the look with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Delinquent, which is a dark purple liner with a touch o’ glitter, and Benefit They’re Real! Mascara. So that’s the look!

Ooh, I like how you can see both colors in all their glory, but it’s still blended and harmonious :)
