What is Lancome Visionnaire? The Full Clutch Lab Investigates.
When I was young, growing up in the sunny dessert of California, I didn’t think twice about frolicking in the sunshine for hours on end. When I was a teenager, rubbing baby oil into my skin and frying like an egg in a pan on a hot, cloudless day was routine. Unfortunately, nature has made its mark on my skin. Nothing too extreme, but I’ve noticed sun damage in the form of dark spots here, a couple wrinkles sprouting up there. Scars from acne since I was a teenager.
And I feel like my skin might lack a bit of the luster it had in my early twenties. This past year was the first time in my life I’ve thought about looking into dermatological treatments for the skin on my face. But, there are so many creams, serums, lotions, makeups, you name it, that are formulated to improve skin I thought; I should give something like that a try first. I can’t quite remember how I came across Lancôme’s Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector, probably in a magazine or something. But I’ve decided to give it a go. It’s pricey, and claims to do all the wonderful things I want it to. Supposedly it fundamentally creates better skin, through a molecule that propels itself through skin layers, and changing things as it travels along. Through this process it is supposed to:
* Correct wrinkles
* Reduce pores
* Help diminish UV damage and acne marks
Sign me up! There are mixed reviews on Sephora.com, but the good outweigh the bad and it’s averaged a 4.2 out of 5 stars. So here is my plan. I’m going to give this product 30 days to prove it’s stuff to me. In 30 days I’ll retake photos of the images of my skin posted above, and give you, the readers, a side by side comparison. I’ll also make note of any changes, or lack on changes, I see in pores, wrinkles, and overall skin tone. Let the experiment begin….
