Bloomingdale’s is having a Private Sale

The Bloomingdale’s Private Sale expires 4/29/12.  Prices are marked except for tiered portions of the sale, where if you buy more you save more (click here for details).  Free shipping doesn’t kick in until $150, but anything purchased through April 29th can return for free.

There are so many sales happening right now we can’t seem to go a day without talking about one of Full Clutch.  Lands’ End & Canvas, Banana Republic, Macy’s, Gap, and now Bloomingdale’s.  We can’t say we mind, and it just goes to show that you should never pay full retail, unless you have to have it now!  Back to Bloomingdale’s, through April 29th they are holding their “Private Sale”, which seems to me very public.  Women’s apparel is 20% to 40% off, including sale.  Shoes are 30% to 40% off, handbags 30% off.  Jewelry is 50% off plus the more you buy the more you save.  Even if you’re not looking to spend right now, it’s fun to look through the site and see how designers have interpreted trend this year.  Here are some examples, that happen to be out of the sale section to start, so prices are pretty darn good.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren Carrie Zebra Pencil Skirt – $41.79 ($99.50)

Welcome to the Jungle

A great pencil skirt by Ralph Lauren.  It’s made of a cotton/elastane (spandex) blend.  It has five pocket denim styling and is machine washable (always a plus).  You can dress this skirt up or down, but due to the denim styling, which means there are rivets, it leans slightly more casual.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren Anca Ruffle Tee – $29.19 ($69.50)

Retro, as in 18th century retro

Why I do believe this little ruffle tee would make a great pairing to our skirt above!  100% pima cotton, so this tee will be nice and cool for warmer months.  Darling cut, and a good go to for denim and skirts.

Ella Moss Harbor Loose Knit Top – $57.96 ($138)

You sweet little sailor, you!

A made in the USA loose knit top with some nautical inspiration.  This is a great piece to have on hand when a plain old tank top just isn’t cutting it.  Like the skirt above, this knit is machine washable.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren Marine Stripe Kievy Double Breasted Cardigan – $53.64 ($149)

Who are you calling a sweet sailor?

Gosh, I’m starting to think the “Private Sale” should have been called the “Ralph Lauren Sale”.  Nothing wrong with that!  Another very cute, nautical inspired piece.  This one will actually keep you warm, so it might not see as much action during the summer.  An attractive option for spring at a very nice price.

VINCE CAMUTO Color Block Grecian Dress – $74.25 ($165)

The colors of the Mediterranean sea

What a stunning color combination on this dress!  This vibrant blue looks beautiful on all skin tones.  The banded waist cuts in high to accentuate your thinnest part.  The pleating around the edges of the darkest band add extra femininity to an already feminine dress.

Lauren By Ralph Lauren Herringbone Shyann Boyfriend Fit Pants – $33.39 ($79.50)

Don't know if your boyfriend would actually wear these

I would wear them though.  I like how these pants are tapered, but still relaxed.  You can’t see it in this picture, but there is a subtle herringbone stripe to the pant.  You can zoom in on the fabric through the above link.  Even though the pants are casual, with heels and a cute top they look pretty chic.

plenty by tracy reese Flats – Emely Woven Ballet – $84 ($120)

Woven out of leather

These flats are a quick and easy way to add some texture and a pop of color to an outfit.  Make sure to pair them with solid bottoms, and a subtly patterned top perhaps.  Let these shoes do most of the talking.

Kelsi Dagger Wedges – Genelle Peep Toe – $90.30 ($129)

A wedge for lots of occasions

I will leave you with these wedges from Kelsi Dagger.  The design on these is artful.  I’m sure wearing them would garner plenty of compliments.  Upper is leather, lining and sole are synthetic.  Also available in a natural/black version.
