FC Laboratory: Sun Safety Kit from Sephora

Protecting your skin from sun damage is one of the most important investments you can make in your vanity, and health.  I’m not a believer in sunscreen at all times, our bodies need vitamin D.  But it only takes a short amount of exposure to synthesize the vitamin D we need, and not long after our bodies fill that quota, our skin can burn.  And that can lead to visible damage, or worse, cancer.  So when I saw the Sun Safety Kit from Sephora I was all about it.  Lots of samples of different products, most of them developed for skin protection and the majority formulated without harsh chemicals and preservatives.  The kit was only $30 ($190 value), and understandably sold out quickly.  We were able to procure one for full clutch though, and over the next several weeks we’ll be reviewing the products that make up the kit.  The list of what is contained in the kit is below…

bareMinerals SPF 25 Mineral Veil – $20
Boscia Oil-Free Daily Hydration SPF 15 – $36
Dr. Jart Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 PA+++ – $39
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 – $22.50

Yeah, just a few things included in the kit.  As mentioned before, we’ll start using these products and over the next several weeks review them.  And within the reviews if we have comparable suggestions to make that are less expensive we will.  But you can certainly be part of the conversation by leaving your own reviews and suggestions in the comments.

To the laboratory!
