The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Part One

Nordstrom wants to outfit you for fall… like now.  Now through August 5th Nordstrom has marked down lots of new fall fashion arrivals.  This is a big, and well known sale, so if you see something you really want it’s best to pick it up.  And a bonus about Nordstrom, shipping AND returns are free.  Since there is so much to the sale, I’m going to divide it up into two posts.  Fashionistas, prepare to shop…

Halogen® Leather Front Peplum Top – $84.90 ($128)

This lambskin fronted peplum top is feminine with an edge.  Think biker babe meets 5th Avenue.  The back of the shirt is a stretch knit for comfort.  Available in regular and petite sizes.  And keep in mind, since the front is leather the cleaning bill for this shirt will be above average.  Here’s a link to the skirt it’s shown with.

Vince Camuto ‘Vionet’ Pump – $79.90 ($128.95)

These high heeled Mary Jane pumps from Vince Camuto are picture perfect for fall, and come next spring will work too.  Mary Jane’s are classic, but the jewel tones these are offered in push them toward trendy.  Not in a bad way though.  Patent leather upper with a synthetic sole and lining.  Digging the bright tights they’re paired with?  Those are on sale too!  Find them here, here, and here.

Mackage Knit & Leather Trim Coat – $398.90 ($625)

This coat is gorgeous, and I want it!  Alas, even on sale, it’s quite the investment.  If you were to take the plunge though, I bet it would remain in your closet for a long time.  This wool and acrylic blend coat comes in both regular and petite sizes.  It even comes in petite!  Argh!

Cara Sliced Leather Studded Bracelet or Nordstrom Long Disc Necklace – $48 ($31.90)

How cool are those bracelets?  Constructed from lightly textured leather and metallic beads, they’re chic and modern.  The metal turn-lock closure adds an extra edge.  Medallion jewelry has been pretty popular this year, seems like the more baubles the better.  The necklace is lined with fun, textured discs, but it still looks sophisticated.  Also available three other tones.

Rachel Roy Crepe Combo Print Skirt – $198.90 ($298)

Yowza!  Another high price, but what a fantastic skirt!  The tree branch graphic print on the front panel of the skirt is really striking.  Fully lined.  I love it paired with that yellow shirt.  Throw in some rouge colored boots or pumps and you have one very fashion forward fall outfit.

Hinge® Bouclé Biker Jacket – $89.90 ($138)

This bouclé tweed biker jacket is tailored to by feminine.  The line going up the sides of the front is actually a zipper.  Do you like this look as a whole?  Here are links to the shirt and jeans.  If you prefer a more neutral color you can find it in black and cream here.  Only medium left in that color scheme though.

Hudson Jeans ‘Collette’ SkinnyBootcut Stretch – $119.90 ($189)

Two great jean options from Hudson jeans.  It looks like the skinnies actually have a little breathing room to them.  If you don’t like that gathered look at the bottom just roll them up.  The boot-cuts are long and lean.  Both jeans are low rise.

Kenneth Cole New York Notch Collar Bouclé Coat – $129 ($198)

If pumpkin is one of your favorite colors, here’s a coat to shout it loud and proud with!  It’s made with a blend of wool and polyester, and has a slim fit to show off that figure.  Just a single burnished metal button closes it double breasted style.  Very stylish coat for fall.

Halogen® Seamed Pencil Skirt – $45 ($69)

This pencil skirt is a perfect one for fall.  The price is great, it comes in 11, yes, ELEVEN different colors, and regular AND petite sizes.  Reviews are mixed about the quality in comparisons to past seasons, but if you’ve never tried one of these out before you mine as well give it a go since returns are free.

Halogen® ‘New Girlfriend’ Merino Cardigan – $49 ($78)

Well, you can pair one of the twelve colors of this cardigan with one of the eleven colors offered for the pencil skirt above.  This item is also available in petite sizes.  And although there are only three reviews on the Nordstrom site, they’re all five star.  Tempting to pick up more than one.  Love the dress?  Here it is.

Part number one, concluded.  But this is just the very tippity top of the iceberg!  Later today we’ll bring you more shoes, and beauty products.
