Piperlime Sale… Is On Sale!
A little redundant, yes, but Piperlime’s sale section is truly on sale. At checkout, you can use code EXTRA15 to take, you got it, an extra 15% off already marked down sale items. Final sale items are excluded. The code is active through 11/10/12. And the extremely nice thing about Piperlime is the free shipping, free return, no minimum policy. Designer stuff can get funky, and without being able to try it on in store, how can you tell if it will work on your body? With free shipping and returns, the stress of it not working is taken out of the equation. So, let’s dive in and take a look at some items from the sale, without trepidation…
A great, striped cardigan for the winter season. Either color is popular right now too. The knit is a mix of cotton, nylon, and acrylic. The one reviewer of this sweater said she is 5’3″ with an hourglass figure, and a small fit her perfectly, so looks like they run true to size. Only drawback? Hand wash. Ugh.
This stretch crepe suiting dress is all over the place in reviews. Some think it’s perfect, some not so much. If you do decide to buy this one, be prepared to possibly return it, or have it tailored. It is a really great basic dress, that can carry you throughout the year. Also available in black, but that color is not on sale.
Hazel Floral Dress – $45.05 ($52.99)
I love this vintage inspired dress. I don’t normally wear crisp graphic prints like this, but I’m tempted. The cut of this dress is like a seaside vacation dress from the 40′s. I’m not sure now that cape would look under a sweater, you’d probably have to go pretty chunky on a cardigan to pair with this. Regardless, just darling.
Doesn’t this turtleneck just look comfy? The material looks so soft and draping. I know the semi-sheerness won’t be the best for warmth, but it will really allow you to change the look of this top depending on what you wear underneath it. Layer a lace cami underneath for a sexy look. Or change the color of the turtleneck up with a solid color tee underneath. You can even wear it over a tank dress.
Tinley Road Knot Top – $16.14 ($18.99)
An elegant looking top for a very appealing price. And boy, will it accentuate all the right places. A review on Piperlime said the shirt actually didn’t draw to much attention to the wearers chest. That drapey material should be very comfortable. Pair it with a skirt, or jeans, boots, and a soft scarf
Clarks are known for their comfort. Sometimes the looks of Clarks can be, well, dull. But not with these oxford like booties. 3″ heel, but with all the “advanced comfort technology” that goes into Clarks, I bet you those soles are nice and padded. You could wear these with the Hazel Floral Dress from up above for a really retro look. Also available in black for $110.00.
Here’s a fun take on the riding boot from Chinese Laundry. They’re pull on, so they’ll be somewhat deconstructed. I like the brass accents from the metal hardware, especially the rivets at the top of the boot. The upper is leather (everything else is synthetic, or vegan). Plenty of sizes available in both colors.
Calvin Klein Lux Military Coat – $101.99 ($119.99)
This military inspired jacket from CK is a fashionable way to keep warm. There is wool in the mix, but Piperlime doesn’t say how much. The buttons ending short of the natural waist of the coat creates a empire waist look, pushing this military coat into the realm of feminine.
Melie Bianco Nora in Taupe or Dark Brown – $46.74 ($54.99)
This top handle shoulder bag is a great looking way to tote your things around town. It kind of looks like a a downtown briefcase and uptown handbag had a love child. Fun polka dot lining inside, and the gold hardware keeps it classy. To see the actual size against a model, click on the link or the picture above.
The Piperlime EXTRA15 code, which will take an extra 15% off regular sale items, expires 11/10/12. Happy Shopping!
